We also see how fast the new LG tablet is thanks to NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core mobile processor and new Honeycomb interface. The tablet will be competing to Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1 in large screen Android Honeycomb tablet segment. Today, T-Mobile and LG sent a press release about the G-Slate tablet which reveals almost all its specs. We knew it was coming at CES with a very short introduction. Then, a Korean music video clip has given more chance to us look at closely and speculate about its 3D capabilities. This turned out to be true. This is the first 3D recording tablet in the market and the additional specs make it also a perfect tablet choice in the beginning of Spring.
The LG tablet, G-Slate will offer a 1GHz Tegra 2 dual core processor, rear-facing stereoscopic twin cameras for 1080p 3D recording, a separate 5MP camera with LED flash, front-facing 2MP camera for chat, 32GB internal memory storage, an accelerometer, gyroscope. The device will take advantage of fast and large T-Mobile 4G network and has WiFi too. It also offers HDMI slot for 1080p video output.
3D viewing will require separate glasses. No exact word on pricing and release date of G-Slate LG tablet yet.
LG apparently wants to take a serious pie from tablet devices market which is predicted to be expanding swiftly until 2015. Considering that forthcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) at Las Vegas Convention Center will be a tablet show, LG will probably join the parade with Optimus Pad Tablet.
